The Temple of the Jaguar King exhibition

For nine days during the Summer, Pollyanna’s private gallery was transformed into a little piece of Central America – nearly 50 brand new originals were displayed for the first time among thick foliage, brightly coloured parrots – and an indoor pond complete with lurking crocodile and rising mist!

The first weekend brought with it an appropriate mini heat wave – and many of the visitors to the gallery could be found enjoying picnics in Pollyanna’s newly landscaped gardens. Even as the weather cooled, art-lovers continued to stream in to be among the first to view the new work – visitors came from all corners of Britain, and guests from Sweden, Holland, France, Hong Kong, and the United States were also welcomed.

Raptor Rescue would like to thank visitors who put donations in their collection tin – we were also pleased to send £10.00 to the Hillside Animal Sanctuary from their collection box. Visitors to the preview were able to enjoy a glass of Rain forest Fizz – a sparkling chardonnay bought from the World Land Trust, thus contributing to their valuable work protecting endangered habitats around the world – including the Rain Forests of Belize.
