Pollyanna Pickering Foundation Shop is Declared Open

Pollyanna is delighted to have officially opened a brand new venture in Bolsover, Derbyshire which will raise funds to support the work of The Pollyanna Pickering Foundation.

She was joined by Council Chairman Cllr Walker (above left) to perform the official opening ceremony at the North Derbyshire Animal Support Shop, which sells good quality second-hand furniture alongside a selection of household items.

Pollyanna said "I am so grateful to Jill Woodward and all the many volunteers who have worked so hard to get this amazing project open and running. The money raised will contribute so much to our work with animal welfare and conservation projects worldwide."

The shop can be visited at Unit J2 Bolsover Business Park Woodhouse Lane Bolsover Chesterfield S44 6BJ.

If you have any unwanted furniture in good condition which you would be willing to donate please contact the NDAS Trustees Eileen and Colin Hawthorne 01246 824460 / 07554175431. Collection can be arranged.

In May Jill’s nephew Alex Whitworth was proud to be able to present Pollyanna with the first donation of £500.00 raised through sales in the shop, which formed part of the funding for the CCF Cheetah education programme in Namibia.
