Pollyanna has been honoured with a commission from the African Republic of Benin to paint a series of 12 'Owls of the World' for a set of commemorative stamps.
The owls depicted include barn owls, tawny owls, snowy owls and a jungle spotted owlet. Many of the subjects were cared for by Pollyanna in the bird sanctuary she ran for 15 years - providing her with an unparalleled opportunity to sketch and study them. Others were sketched in their natural habitat during Pollyanna's working safaris to study endangered wildlife.
The stamps are sure to become collectors items, and we have managed to secure a limited number of mint sheets, which will be available at Pollyanna's Christmas exhibition specially signed and mounted in presentation sets.
