Talk: Giant Pandas and Sleeping Dragons

The founder of the Born Free Foundation Virginia McKenna OBE described Pollyanna’s travels in China as “An unforgettable and perhaps unrepeatable journey exploring a different culture and a different land.”

Visitors are welcome to join The Rotary Club of Hazel Grove’s evening with Pollyanna share the story of this incredible journey to study and paint one of the world’s most endangered species in its natural habitat.  Share in everything from the hardships and frustrations to the lasting friendships made in this enigmatic and beautiful country, and enjoy the spectacular award-winning paintings which resulted  from the expedition.

A lavishly illustrated book about the trip has been published – and Anna-Louise was honoured to be a finalist in Cosmopolitan’s Woman of the Year Awards for her writing and photography – and both Pollyanna and Anna-Louise will be hand to sign copies of the book after the event.

Guests can opt to enjoy a meal as part of the evening, or purchase a ticket just to attend the talk if preferred.
